During the Season of Easter, our congregation at
Risen Savior Lutheran (Byron, IL) painted the windows on our second story space for those driving by. The sun rises in the background around three crosses situated on the hill of Golgotha. In the foreground of this morning scene stands the tomb with its stone rolled away and its contents empty except for the grave cloth. Flanking each side of the empty tomb are two lilies, the traditional flower signifying resurrection life. If you happen to drive through Byron, IL on Route 2, look up.
