The Hand of Christ - Lent and Easter 2017

The above painting was a part of a preaching series throughout the season of Lent and leading up to Easter. According to each week's text a new element was added to the painting until it took the shape of a hand of Christ crucified on Good Friday. This hand was then transformed (through gold leaf) into the hand of the Risen Christ, reaching out to offer the good gifts of his cross and resurrection victory.
